As a consumer, we pay attention to something once it becomes the culture - once it has the 'cool' factor to it.
We saw it with Facebook, with Instagram, with content creation in general and now we are seeing that happening with two things, gaming, and podcasting.
For today, let's focus on podcasting, shall we? For one, it hasn't become mainstream yet, not only in India but all over the world. However, since the last few years, that trend has only been rising with the statistics to prove that point.
With Spotify announcing over a million podcasts on their platform, splurging $100M on Joe Rogan's podcast, acquiring Gimlet, The Ringer, and more of such podcasts, or hosting Michelle Obama's podcast, or buying a hosting platform like Anchor. That says something, doesn't it?
Focusing only on India, PwC indicates that India is already the world’s third-largest podcast market. Only the US and China are ahead. Monthly podcast listeners in the country crossed 40 million at the end of 2018, growing 57 percent annually.
Further, Google states that India is one of the top five countries using its podcast app. There are no further stats beyond that point, however looking at India's podcast charts, one can easily conclude that those numbers have only doubled, if not tripled, until now.
The podcasting industry is expected to generate $1 billion by 2021, according to PwC. How about that? Would you consider listening to a podcast now?

My focus is to provide some value to you, whether through my blog, my social media content, my podcast, or my newsletter. I asked you to subscribe, and you would just receive one mail in your inbox every week. Some who appreciate the value elsewhere, subscribed. Some didn't.
Then, I announced this giveaway and a lot of you subscribed to this newsletter now. Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful to you for doing that. However, my conundrum lies in you either reading this newsletter for the giveaway and not for its content or you unsubscribing to it, once the giveaway is done.
Nonetheless, expectations are the worst and I addressed that in one of the previous newsletters. My intention here is to provide one of you with a super amazing book full of value by a super amazing person.
Yes, I'm talking about Think Like a Monk by Jay Shetty.
One of you gets to enjoy this book and here's how -

B. The contest ends Sept 14, 23.59 pm
C. One of the lucky people to win the giveaway will be announced on my Instagram Stories, once the contest time has ended.
Boredom arises, not because you're tired or fatigued. But because you aren't interested in what you're doing. Whenever you feel bored, be aware of what is it that is making you feel in such a way and what exactly do you do to distract yourself from that boredom?
Thank you for your time, honestly and I shall see you next week with the fifth edition of the newsletter.
